Fall 2026 & Spring 2027 Competitive Soccer Evaluation

Starting for the Fall 2026 season, soccer birth year bands will be changing.  You can find more information here, along with BUSC's approach: https://www.butlerunitedsoccer.com/tryouts/age-group-change-coming-for-fall-2026

If your player is one of the younger players born Aug-Dec of their birth year, choosing to play age appropriate is not a "step down," but a choice to place your child in their proper age band which can be optimal for development.

Due to these changes, BUSC will lean forward with tryout plans in an attempt to reduce associated confusion and anxiety.  Tryout registration is now open and we will be filling in May tryout dates for each of the new age groupings below. We encourage all players registering for tryouts to signup for the age band that will be age appropriate for them next year.  We are also allowing multiple registrations, so you may sign your player up for both their age appropriate band as well as bands where they would be playing "up."   

All players that want to play for BUSC next year, whether or not they are currently in the club, need to register for tryouts.

Look for information on age group specific tryouts further on this page.  Fall 2026 U8-U15 age groups will have set tryout nights in April and/or May for all interested players, attending all sessions is not required.  Spring 2027 High School age teams (U16-U19) will invite interested players out to team practices.  If you see a team with a scheduled tryout that you would like to attend, but cannot, then be sure to reach out to the coach: Click here for current Coach Contacts

• Butler United teams play in the Miami Valley Youth Soccer Association (MVYSA), the Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League (BPYSL), Ohio Soccer State League (OSSL), and Great Lakes Alliance (GLA)
• We feature licensed coaches and trainers.  Each team receives regular training from a highly experienced, paid club trainer
• Coaches or parents interested in coaching a team should contact our club president and plan on attending the soccer evaluation
